For the last year I have been developing along with two great friends a brand new concept in photography workshops that we are calling Crossroads Photographic Workshops. The idea is to combine photography instruction with photography support for partnered non-profit organizations in a workshop setting. You learn new ways to photograph new things and our non-profit partners get much needed imagery to support their important work.

In partnership with Santa Fe Workshops, Crossroads is an innovative company that combines the creative rewards of photography with the deep satisfaction of helping a worthy cause.

00192_s_11agqaxsjg0504Run as an ‘On Assignment’ photo shoot, Crossroads Workshops allow participants to both improve their photographic skills and contribute their images directly to our non-profit partner organizations. By donating images, participants create a purpose for their photography and help to support and sustain the important work of our non-profit partners.

Crossroads Workshops are like no other – fueled by our passion for teaching, our deep commitment to helping others and a clear understanding of the power of visual storytelling.

In 2015 Crossroads is offering three workshops- In March we will be in Santa Fe, New Mexico, working with the Nature Conservancy and the Santa Fe Raptor Center. In June we will be in Manchester Center, Vermont, working with the Vermont Land Trust and in early August we will be in Sitka, Alaska, working with the Alaska Raptor Center and the Sitka Conservation Society.

Crossroads will also be part of the Santa Fe Workshops spring catalog and we are on their website for even more info.
